Phase III of the UW Medicine’s South Lake Union Campus consists of three new lab and office buildings that range from seven to nine stories and four stories of underground parking. Phase II involved a major reroute of overhead power lines for the new 300,000 square foot building. Working with SDOT, a greenscape/pedestrian-friendly site was developed by reducing lane widths, widening sidewalks, and adding trees on 8th Avenue. UW Medicine Phase II won a 2009 AIA Civic Design Honor Award.
