Seattle Public Schools Chief Sealth High School is being redeveloped into a joint campus with the new Denny Middle School. To create a sense of community, a large commons area will connect the two schools. The one- and two-story high school renovation includes seismic upgrades and new mechanical and electrical systems.
A new three-story Denny Middle School will be built next to Chief Sealth’s physical education building and will accommodate up to 900 students. The design emphasizes sustainability and features radiant floor heating, a green roof, and natural ventilation. The two schools will share Chief Sealth’s performing arts center.
