Named after the famous American poet, the new Robert Frost Elementary School was carefully phased and sited to allow the original school to stay open during construction. The steel-framed building is laid out along a curved main hallway. Each classroom cluster is built around a shared instructional space that features a vaulted ceiling with exposed roof frames. Preserving the natural beauty and forested areas of the site for use by students and teachers was a major goal accomplished by careful site configuration.
