This new middle school serving the town of North Bend was designed with an “industrial” flare. Built for high snow loads, the steel-framed school is accented with varying roof slopes and an exterior consisting of partial-height brick veneer and metal siding.
Twin Falls’ various departments are organized around a large commons area featuring a grand canopy entrance. A 112-foot exposed steel truss extends through this space gradually increasing in width from 8.5 to 14 feet. The commons also features large clerestories to bring in natural light.
