Originally constructed in 1916, this nine-story building is being converted from an office building to the 160-room Arctic Club Hotel. Seismic upgrades include concrete beams added to create moment frames on levels two through four. We carefully coordinated the locations and layouts of these beams with sensitivity to preserving the building’s historic integrity. Our firm also provided design for the construction of a new penthouse on the building’s rooftop.
