One of the oldest buildings in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood, the Cadillac Hotel was renovated and seismically upgraded after being damaged by the 2001 Nisqually Earthquake. Renovation included the replacement of the exterior façade, incorporation of steel-braced frames, and preservation of the historic lobbies. This project received the 2006 National Preservation Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
