Sustainability

Our design philosophy incorporates a sustainable life cycle approach to building and site design by integrating resource conservation, waste minimization, and long-term business goals into each project. We have more than 70 projects that have either received certification from the USGBC or are in the process.

Our civil engineers work with local jurisdictions to promote the benefits of low-impact design techniques. By working closely with landscape architects, we are incorporating the design of “working landscapes” to create rain gardens as a means of treating runoff. We take a common sense approach to stormwater design which blends functional systems with the landscape.
